I’ve seen three Max Azria shows in the past four days–BCBG, Herve Leger by Max Azria, and Max Azria.

That’s a lot to keep straight! This show was more tailored than BCBG and a completely different aesthetic than the Leger bandages. Muted colors such as moss, taupe, smoke gray, taupe, beige were key. The slim, but not tight silhouettes–a gauze blouse and lace pencil skirt–were cinched with corsets. Felt hats, like modified train conductor caps were prominent in this collection. Isn’t that clutch fun?
Putting on three show is quite an accomplishment. Let’s toast! Here’s to one of the most prolific design teams (Max and his daughter Lubov) around…at least for this week.
