Weekend events: Kids’ shoes, Earth Day and more fashion

O.M.G. There’s way too much on the fashion schedule this weekend. Have fun picking and choosing from the multitude of options.
Think Spring fashion show: Tonight! See fashions from Local Motion, Elsworth and local designer House of Henry. (Fri., The Lounge, 411 2nd Ave N, Mpls, $5 at the door. Show at 10 p.m.)
Uber Baby: Kids and grown-ups can design and decorate their own pair of TOMS Shoes (Sat., 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.) and then show them off in a fashion show (12:30 p.m.). Kids’ shoes are $28 and adults’ shoes are $34. Bonus: For every pair of shoes purchased, TOMS will donate a pair to a child in need and Uberbaby will donate a pair to a child in need in Minnesota. American Craft Show: Check out the handmade jewelry, clothes, furniture, and home decor, including a new “green craft” category, which includes the above photo. (Fri. through Sun., Rivercentre, St. Paul, $12 for one day and $18 for two days, see craftcouncil.org for ticket info.
Macy’s bridal sample sale: Score a couture bridal gown at 50 to 90 percent off during this once a year event. (Sat., 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Macy’s 8th floor auditorium, Mpls, 612-375-2162.)
Buffalo Exchange: Don’t forget about the dollar sale at Buffalo Exchange with proceeds going to the Galapagos Conservancy to help repopulate giant tortoises. (Sat., Buffalo Exchange, 2727 S. Lyndale Av., Mpls, 612-871-9115.)
Aveda Earth Day: Schedule an appointment for a cut, color or spa service at the Aveda Institute this Sunday for $25. Proceeds support the Clean Water Fund. (Sun., 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Aveda Institute, 400 Central Av. SE, Mpls, 800-447-7808 for appointments.)
