Daily StylePointer: The new Bumbershute + party
Posted on June 3rd, 2008 – 8:00 AMBy Sara Glassman

The newest addition to 50th & France is the transplanted Bumbershute. Its new home is bright and shiny. The industrial touches–cement floor and exposed ceiling are balanced with polished touches–a modern red light fixture and slick white walls.
There are all sorts of fabulous spring clothes right now. I liked these two white dresses by Alice + Olivia. The white dress with black and white flowers ($297) and the dress with the chain (actual chain) straps ($484).

Here’s owner Kathryn Paulsrud looking very chic in a top/dress by 3.1 Phillip Lim.
Just wait until you see the spacious and well lit dressing rooms.
You can check it all out this Friday night. (Attention SATC crowd–the party moves here for the weekend.) Doors open at 7 p.m.. Fashion show at 8 p.m..
Wondering about the name? Thanks to a typo long ago, Bumbershute actually stands for bumbershoot–an umbrella.
Bumbershute, 5014 France Av. S., Edina, 952-475-2684.

The Bumbershute is a Fabulous store. I suggest everyone sprint there! I went there this weekend and couldn’t resist buying a gold philip lim dress! Thanks Katherine, you’re a sweetheart.
