Tired? Achy? Looking for a unique spa experience? Try floating at RejoovMe (3826 Grand Way, St. Louis Park, 952-285-2993, rejoovme.com). Spend an hour in a private pod ($55), filled with warm (body temperature) water and 600 pounds of Epsom salt. You’ll hover on the top of the water and emerge relaxed and reinvigorated or at least refreshed. Why? Numerous therapeutic reasons–I kind of think of it as a massage without being touched.
For me, I went on day when I wasn’t sleep-deprived or tired or sore, so I was very alert as I drifted. (Note: Despite the photo, it is recommended you go in naked and the pod closes as much or as little as you’d like.) Even so, I felt a knot in my left shoulder work itself out in the course of the session. The following week, when I didn’t get quite enough sleep, I was weirdly alert, energetic and awake–in a good way. There’s definitely something to be said for sensory deprivation.

Floating sounds delicious! Are there shower facilities for after the salty main dish? Imagine this in Minnesota…what a great find.
Thanks, Sara.
