StylePointing at Zelo, part 3
So still at Zelo, new stylish friend Nancy Beskar (see previous two posts) stopped at our unfashionable back-of-the-bar table to let me know that there was a brunette version of Sienna Miller in “Factory Girl” near the front. Sure enough, I met Emily Swenson (pictured, right), a stylist at Bella Beauty Salon & Spa on 50th and France. “I’ve been doing the Twiggy thing lately,” she said. Her cute top was a purchase from a Chicago boutique. Everybody was impressed with Swenson’s shiny, shiny hair.
Not surprisingly, the professional stylist colors it herself (and often!). She credits the impressive sheen to the Bumble & Bumble Super Rich Conditioner, which they carry at the salon.



There was a lot going on at Michael Kors today. When I arrived three hours before the show, it was tranquil. Soon as the 56 models (40 girls) arrived, the 20 makeup artists had their powder brushes in motion. Lead makeup artist Dick Page explained that Kors wanted the look to be bronze, well-traveled. “A cross between Bill Blass and Donatella Versace,” Page said of how Kors described the look. The artists used this
