Hitler goes HD DVD

The biggest techno-story of the new year — Blu-ray wins the high-def disc war over HD DVD — isn’t likely to die until, well, HD DVD actually dies. But it has spawned this great YouTube clip, in which the subtitles in a climactic scene from The Downfall: Hitler and the End of the Third Reich are altered to show the Nazi leader reacting furiously to the news that his chosen format, HD DVD, has fallen to Warner Home Video’s decision to support only Blu-ray. “I can’t believe this is happening!” he screams. “[They] probably accepted a payoff!” Priceless.
Der Fuhrer reacts with “der fury” when he finds out Warner has gone Blu-ray-only, in a modified scene from “The Downfall.”
