A better dieting resolution

In my recent write-up on 10 websites to help with your New Year’s resolutions, I listed the ever-helpful Calorie Count as a way to stay on track with a diet. While that website still works, I wanted to note that there’s an updated version, also free but at a different URL, called Calorie Count Plus, part of the About Health network. One of the new site’s coolest features is the Food Recommendation tool, which you can see through this demo. Type in your favorite foods, and, using the recommendations of other dieters on the site, the tool will suggest healthier options that will also diversify what you eat. For example, people who love lasagna, which gets a poor grade as a dieting option, also seem to like eating salmon, which is much better for a diet. Calorie Count Plus also has a better design and is easier to navigate than its innovative predecessor. Check it out.   Â
