Blu-ray will sell at what the market will bear. I also think that some think that DVDs were priced at $15 or lower when that format first hit the market. No so… there were plenty of must have catalog titles and new releases that were some routinely being priced at $30 or higher. But it did not get as much flak from the format’s base consumers because many of them were former laserdisc owners that were accustomed to paying $50 to $100 for a title. DVD was a bargain format compared to LD. Don’t worry as the consumers move over to BD, the catalog titles will be positioned at more attractive price points. New releases? Heck some new releases still street for well above $25 on DVD. Personally I have such a large stack of unwatched films, I can wait for sales on newer titles.

I agree. Lack of quality titles is as much to blame as the economy.

As for downloading songs, maybe some better songs would help too.

Situationer, I have not heard the in-ceiling speakers from The Speaker Company but have heard good things about them. Based on past experience my gut feeling is the entry-level models will be competent and a very good value, and the higher-line models will likely be exceptional performers that belie the price. I know that their NT series in-walls are rebadged MB Quart speakers that are made in a Chinese plant and Audioholics.com were extremely impressed with them and gave them a very high rating.

If you are going for speakers from The Speaker Company I would recommend you look at their higher line in-ceiling models if budget allows. The entry level pieces will likely satisfy, but the better ones will make you genuinely excited. This has been my experience comparing their P-series to T-series and TSAT speakers and their M.O. for the in-wall and in-ceiling speakers seems to be identical.

I can tell you real quick why video game sales have fallen off… Name one great game released in the last 6 months? Nothin… I guarantee we see a resurgence when Modern Warfare 2, Madden, and Halo come out… Oh, and the upcoming lineups shown at E3 should help boost sales… If they ever finish the frickin games, still waitin for God of War 3 over here.

I used to go out and buy the new Madden every year… But i’ve found the game to be seriously lacking in the last 2 or 3 years. So until I play it at a friends and see some serious leaps ahead of 09, I’ll save my $$.

Nord: Sure, loads of them. Usually, the 2G cases are marked as such; sometimes, you have to look at the specs online or read the fine print on the package. So if it’s not marked for 2G, it’s for 1G.

NFK 2K5 is still the best football simulation since Tecmo Super Bowl. Madden needs it’s exclusivity agreement revoked.
