The revelations about the unsanitary and unsafe conditions within the Peanut Corp. of America’s Blakely, Georgia, factory were the subject of a story from my colleague David Shaffer last night, with more details this morning about the leaking roof, unsanitary assembly line and other problems that could have contributed to the contamination. Peanut Corp. of America shouldn’t expect any sympathy from its industry group - the American Peanut Council’s president blasted the company in a statement today.
