A long-delayed conclusion to the double dishwasher flood

The first item in my Sunday column describes the long-delayed compensation to the Thunbergs of East Bethel for the second of the two ill-fated dishwasher installations by Best Buy. I first described their ordeal back in December. I’ll note that by coincidence, I installed the same dishwasher in December, and I keep expecting the little brass elbow fitting - the culprit in both of the Thunbergs’ floods - to spring a leak and start a rainstorm in my basement.

    Jim,

Nobody cares about a dishwasher. Why not try and determine why everyone associated with Obama seems to have some kind of legal issue. This is becoming pathetic.

If you really don’t care, why did you read past the headline? ;-)

I, for one, do care. After all, I have no control over what happens in the Obama administration, but I do own a dishwasher, and thus could potentially suffer a flood in my kitchen. While we definitely should care about Obama’s cabinet picks, the dishwasher is arguably a more imminent concern.
