Fernandez, White updates

From this morning’s skate in Denver (Feb. 1, 2007):
Center Todd White, who joined the team last night in Denver, may actually play tonight. Jacques Lemaire said he was leaving it up to White, who afterwards said, “It felt good. If they want me, I plan on playing.”
White’s missed five games with a sprained knee. Assistant Mike Ramsey said it would be a gametime decision.
As for Manny Fernandez, it looks like the goalie will be on the shelf for a bit. He tweaked his sprained left MCL Tuesday in St. Louis. It doesn’t look serious. He already began extensive treatment this morning, but said:
“I think the best thing is to keep me off for a little bit and go from there. Josh [Harding] is here, so it makes us a little more patient for what our next move is.“We want to take our time the second time around here. We want to make sure we dont have to deal with this thing anymore for the rest of the season.”
