Brian Rolston will indeed miss his second game with the flu. Kurtis Foster will not make a surprise return from a sprained knee; Saturday vs. Carolina is likely.
Todd “Always Delightful” Bertuzzi will not make his grand entrance.
I will be blogging a little during the game, but in all honesty, if you want good, always-entertaining, blogging in games, I’d report to Glen Andresen’s fine work on wild.com. He’s been plugging my blog all week, so I figured I’d return the favor.
Kent Youngblood’s to my right, singing…This game can’t go quick enough.
Kent’s on to my last line. He’s not happy…We’re 7:10 in, by the way, and we’re waiting for our first Wild shot. They look horrible. Not even close an offensive rush.
First shot, 10:16 in, a riser by Todd White from 60 feet out. The perceptive fans gave the Wild a Bronx cheer.
After being outshot 11-0, the Wild actually picked up its play during a power play. It didn’t score, but by the end of the period, Florida was outshooting Minnesota 12-11.
– Ex-Cat Mark Parrish just scored his first goal in 12 games, which is good news for the Wild. The streaky scorer is bound get hot now. That’s his trademark .
– The entire Star Tribune staff is here right now. The roster: Youngblood, Souhan, Christensen, Scoggins, Zulgad, Hartman and editors Wollemann and Miller. I’m getting claustrophobic.
Boogaard just got his first point of the season on Todd White’s goal. Get the puck! Radivojevic’s been a bull tonight.
