It doesn’t seem any more serious than the discomfort he’s been voicing in recent days, but Manny Fernandez limped off the ice with about five minutes left in practice this afternoon here in Calgary.

GM Doug Risebrough acknowledged that Fernandez has “reaggravated the knee but not reinjured it.”

Basically, Risebrough said Wild doctors feel Fernandez is just going to have to deal with discomfort right now. Josh Harding will back up tomorrow.

Wes Walz (back) badly wants to return. It’ll be up to coach Jacques Lemaire. The Wild had an optional practice today where players had the choice to either skate today or skate tomorrow morning.

Already 4:40 in Minny, so I must get to work now. I am dragging worse than the team last night. I am READY to come home. Talk to you tomorrow.
