Game 4: End of one period

Wild had some good pressure and outshot the Ducks, 14-9. Minnesota came out strong after coach Jacques Lemaire harped on getting the first goal. However, it’s 0-0 at this point so you’d have to say advantage Ducks. Of course, that’s been the case this whole series.
Near the end of the period Wild defenseman Kim Johnsson collided with the Ducks’ Rob Niedermayer. Johnsson got up slowly but decided to remain on the ice until the horn sounded to end the period. At that point, he flexed his left knee a little bit. That might be something to watch when the second period gets underway.
Keith Carney, the Wild’s veteran defenseman, had an extremely shaky period. He turned over the puck twice and also was called for a penalty.
