Wild tie it at 1-1 as Pierre-Marc Bouchard’s first shot of the series goes in the net. And Derek Boogaard gets the first assist. How about this: Boogaard now has more points in this series than Brian Rolston, Mark Parrish, Todd White, Wes Walz and Kim Johnsson.

If you’re watching this game it’s probably not too difficult to hear the hometown fans are not happy with referees Paul Devorski and Dan O’Rourke. What really upset the crowd was the roughing call on Stephane Veilleux after he took a swipe at the Ducks’ Travis Moen. Moen appeared to get a couple of shots of his own in before Veilleux.

The ensuing Ducks power play resulted in Chris Pronger’s goal at 6:08 of the second. Veilleux, once again, has brought energy to the Wild when he’s on the ice. I’m not sure this is a great move but Jacques Lemaire even has been using Veilleux on the power play.

With the way the Wild power play is going right now it might want to try Boogaard out there. I’m kidding.
