Foster safe, Hall not

Just was informed the Wild qualified defenseman Kurtis Foster, so his rights have been retained. Adam Hall, on the other hand, will become a free agent July 1 after the Wild did not QO him.
Obviously, Bouchard, Koivu, Schultz, Boogaard and Harding QOed, as was minor-leaguers Foy, Voros and Reitz.
It would have been a shock to me if they had gotten rid of Foster. You just don’t throw away a 6-5 blue-liner with a cannon, especially one that costs like $815,000.
Hall would have had to be QOed at $1 million, and the Wild already has Branko Radivojevic at 680K. So the Pascal Dupuis for Adam Hall trade didn’t work out, but the Wild would have simply let Dupuis go Sunday anyway. And, let’s be honest: the Wild just wanted Dupuis out of the room.
