Where’s Russo?

Kent Youngblood here, filling in while Russo attempts to bring Las Vegas to its knees. Wow. Wonder who’ll win that one.
Anyway, here’s the update from Thursday’s practice, which — with the MEA convention filling up St. Paul — was held at Parade.
It was a brisk but relatively brief practice. Coach Jacques Lemaire spent most of it having his team work on breakouts through the neutral zone. I thought he would have spent much of it working on the power play — which is second-worst in the league. But he and the players both feel the PP is functioning OK and that the goals will come. Of course it would help if the team didn’t spent so much time killing penalties.
Dominic Moore (abdominal strain) was the only player not practicing. He was ruled “out” for both weekend games. The team will fly to St. Louis tomorrow afternoon and practice there to get ready for Saturday’s game against the Blues.
