Post-skate update

Well, Josh Harding was the first goalie off the ice, so it looks as though he’ll make the start tonight against the Blues, the team against which he earned his first NHL victory. It will be Harding’s ninth NHL start. He picked up three shutouts in his first eight, becoming the first goalie since 1956 to do so.

Also, it appears defenseman Petteri Nummelin and winger Matt Foy could be healthy scratches tonght.

By the way, it’s good to see that Andy Murray can have fun with this Derek Boogaard stuff. As you know, Boogaard has said that Murray — the Blues coach — carries on conversations with opposing players during the game, at times profane. Murray has strongly denied this.

Well, at his post-skate gathering Saturday Murray was asked by a St. Louis reporter about how he had repirmanded some of his players recently. How he might have yelled at them. Murray smiled, turned to the two Twin Cities reporters, and said, ”I didn’t swear, did I?”

And then, as he was getting up to go, Murray closed with this: ”I didn’t say anything controversial, did I?”

That’s about it from here. You’ll all be glad to know that Russo is due back in the Twin Cities tonight and will be watching tonight’s game on TV — and likely blogging like mad.
