Hello, hello

I know, you can’t get rid of me.

How about the Colorado Avalanche-Detroit Red Wings game? Little different style hockey than the Wild series, eh? Like, I don’t know, goals.

And like, I don’t know, no Peter Forsberg.

Thanks to a reader, here are some additions to draft-eligible Minnesotans, the ones in the USHL I didn’t pick up on:

On the North American goalie list, Brady Hjelle is from Int’l Falls and ranked 17th. I should have actually picked up on him because I met him this season when Cedar Rapids was playing Columbus prior to a Wild-Blue Jackets game. He goes to Wild assistant Bob Mason’s goalie school (if I remember correctly).

Actually Cedar Rapids has some other Minnesotans, too, and a kid named Dean Chelios, who’s the son of some player who once had a cup of coffee in the NHL.

Aaron Crandall, who plays for Green Bay, played at St Thomas Academy and is ranked 24th among goalies.

Additions to the North American skater rankings, there’s Nick Larson, who won a state title at St. Thomas. He’s ranked 52nd. Larson’s currently playing with Waterloo, and I’m told the Blackhawks knocked off Hjelle’s Roughriders in the first round and are currently up 1-zip on the Chicago Steel in the second round.

Jared Festler, who plays for Lincoln, is from Little Falls and is ranked 150th.

To the person who emailed me, thanks for your help.

– Just told that Danny Kristo, ranked 37th with the U.S. Under-18 team, played a year at Eden Prairie.
