They can get too fancy though..and that is their achilles heel. BTW someone here mentioned how things are going to change and teams like the Wild could not get players in Sweden..my fiance is there..and never heard such a thing. Other teams are having no problems drafting players. The big issue is if the player will accept coming to the US and playing in minors before going to the NHL. And Sweden has a plethera of players. Look at the championships now..they are missing some big guns..and the 8 Swedes in Detroit alone..and guess what? Doesn't matter. They have a lot of talent there. I would love to see some of it here..and they don't require big bucks DR.....and yes..you have to groom them..but are you not doing that with Butch and with Burnsy and Koivu? There has been a lot of grooming here....and we need to replenish Houston.. He is so Anti-Minnesota (see ESPN the magazine about 2003 where he talks about playing for the University of Michigan and when someone mistakenly asked if he played for The U of Minnesota..he flipped out and said that he hates everything about Minnesota. And he also revealed how he was glad he no longer had a roommate as he did his stretches au natural and he had team/room mates walk in and kinda flip at this. WHY tell us this stuff?? ewwwww...I just blush whenever I see him on the ice!) Just one more of these Goalies gone wild.... Detroit has a GREAT style.
