Former Cretin-Derham Hall hockey star Chris Hickey, whose NHL rights are held by the Wild, will play for the University of Wisconsin next season even though the Badgers wouldn't mind if he played another season of junior hockey. Hickey, 19, had a nice season for Tri-City in the U.S. Hockey League this year with 15 goals and 16 assists in 55 games.

Happy belated birthday, Mrs. A.

Bandgeek, yeah, I guess. Game 4 was much more indicative of how I thought this series would play out. I wanted a sweep, but at least they played better than they did in Game 4 in New York.

Philly better not bitch about the officials after this one.

The Wild finished with the third-highest average rating (2.9) among FSN regional networks that carried NHL teams this season, trailing Pittsburgh (5.9) and Detroit (4.8).

Makes you wonder about the numbers other US markets pull down. Also, Hockeytown has been ripped for the empty seats but clearley interest remains high.

Kevin, sorry bout your boys tonight. Look at it this way, now they can win the series in front of the home crowd.

I am still going to hold out hope - Tanguay would not waive his no trade claues at the deadline and if you can find a team that wants him, DR should be talking to that team about Parrish!

Heh, good catch Goody--not intended either. :-)

I know the Langkow deal isn't done, but just from the quotes in that article it sure sounds like he's not going anywhere.

I've read stuff about the Flames needing to find a new home for Tanguay in order to make Langkow work under the cap, so it's possible that's holding up anything official. Regardless, I wouldn't get any hopes up.
