I think if NHL GMs have any brains, they best be working on the package to present to DR. Even if he says he isn't talking right now, he will be soon, and they best be ready. Those in the East better be doubly ready. I don;t think DR wants to send him to a Western team if he can avoid it, and you can bet that without a stellar package, the NW division is off limits.

The guy DR should be talking to right now is Paul Holmgren - not for possible trading discussion with the Flyers, but because Homer did such a great job retooling his team from disaster back into playoff performer in one season.

He took the lemons of the Forsberg situation, etc, and made sweet, sweet lemonade - and that's a case study I hope DR is studying right now as this plays out.

DR is at the Traverse City Tournament. Seven other GMs are there. There's going to be some trade talk going on there, at least from TB, NY, Atlanta, St. Louis, and maybe even CBJ.

DR might not be talking to them but he's put them on alert. There is a "deadline" and teams who want to get Gaborik know they have time to put together a package. Any trade discussions could be done relatively quick, excluding the option to negotiation first.

right now it looks like i lost my buying opportunity. I was looking at three stocks: LVLT, BOOM and HW. was going to buy if they were off by 5% which they all opened near or at but now all are off less than 1%.

might not be as bad as expected. I was thinking the dow dropping 400 would be a good day.

the SDS was up over 7% pre-market. not up 5%.
