Josh Harding in the cage.

Derek Boogaard the scratched forward.

Owen Nolan out with a lower body injury. Tomas Mojzis in for him. Colton Gillies is back in.

I’m writing my game story in French tomorrow.

Wow, Harding! Let’s do this!

Sam says:

October 30th, 2008 at 6:36 pm

Good luck writing that game story! Here’s atip to get you started: it should be “Les Habitants.”

OchreSunrise says:

October 30th, 2008 at 6:40 pm

Boogaard a scratch and two Koivu’s on the ice. I’m going to enjoy this.

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 6:42 pm

You had to figure Boogey would pull popcorn duty for this one, but I do think he’s been better this year than most of last year so far.

Allons-y!

russ says:

October 30th, 2008 at 6:44 pm

zomg. 2 billion habs fans. I haven’t seen this kind of gathering since stk was hear. We even have singing and chanting.

russ says:

October 30th, 2008 at 6:46 pm

sorry, iPhone autofill going nuts

sunshine says:

October 30th, 2008 at 6:48 pm

russ:

sounds like a blast there.

smuggla says:

October 30th, 2008 at 6:58 pm

Did I hear someone say NHL Center Ice is free tonight?

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 6:58 pm

man: this was the threat with IGoW - injury. Maybe they’re just resting him?

GreenStar says:

October 30th, 2008 at 6:59 pm

ya lot of red here. reminds me of a dead wings game except habs fans have class

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 7:02 pm

That Koivu vs Koivu opening was pretty cool.

Wildfor9 says:

October 30th, 2008 at 7:03 pm

http://www.hockeywebcasts.com/

this is an online feed of the game. Fairly good feed

Kevin in PA says:

October 30th, 2008 at 7:04 pm

except habs fans have class

They do? Weren’t they rioting after they beat Boston in the playoffs last spring?

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 7:05 pm

CenterIce HD feed is not available tonight?

smuggla says:

October 30th, 2008 at 7:06 pm

yes!!!! free CI- hey sunshine thanks for the tip!!!

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 7:08 pm

Man, Keith Ballard is having a heckuva start. Another goal tonight, he’s now 2-7-9.

smuggla says:

October 30th, 2008 at 7:08 pm

I didn’t think they’d let dumb and dumber on CI… lol

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 7:10 pm

Burns!

Sam says:

October 30th, 2008 at 7:13 pm

Okay, not to be ranting when the Wild just scored, but there is NO excuse for KSTC not having a digital channel! The quality of every game on 45 is horrible on an HD set, and by my count, there hasn’t been a single Wild game telecast in HD at all yet this season! FS North and KSTC really need to get their s*** together - no sport benefits from HD like hockey, and in the best hockey market in the US, they seem to be making zero effort at it.

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 7:13 pm

Damnit.

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 7:14 pm

In 09 they’ll all be digital. But even on my SD tv, 45’s quality is crap.

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 7:18 pm

Let’s go boys.

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 7:21 pm

Hope Anti is ok. The Wild have made some great passes.

Kevin in PA says:

October 30th, 2008 at 7:22 pm

4-1 Miller’s losing. D’oh!

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 7:23 pm

What a move by Hards!

Kevin in PA says:

October 30th, 2008 at 7:26 pm

OMG 5-1 now! Stamkos with two.

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 7:27 pm

That’s rough KiPA…

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 7:28 pm

Burns is playing forward?!

Kevin in PA says:

October 30th, 2008 at 7:29 pm

That means Thomas will get another shutout.

Anyway, go Burns, Bouchard and Koivu.

ms.conduct says:

October 30th, 2008 at 7:32 pm

Sheesh. Damn Millsy. Good for Stammers though.

ms.conduct says:

October 30th, 2008 at 7:34 pm

DAMMIT! Stop hurting Burns!

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 7:36 pm

HD nothing, this is the worst picture I’ve seen in years. I can barely read the MTL and MIN on the scoreboard.

ms.conduct says:

October 30th, 2008 at 7:40 pm

Why are they pushing the trade deadline back?

Kevin in PA says:

October 30th, 2008 at 7:42 pm

So teams can potentially avoid being shorthanded if they make a trade, since there’s a bunch of games (12 I think) on March 3 but only like three on the 4th.

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 7:42 pm

I hadn’t heard about the deadline getting pushed back. Isn’t already a relatively small amount of time to mesh with your teammates?

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 7:43 pm

So, its not much of a change?

Kevin in PA says:

October 30th, 2008 at 7:43 pm

One day, RG, due to the schedule.

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 7:45 pm

Ok, thats not a big deal.

GreenStar says:

October 30th, 2008 at 7:46 pm

the picture is crystal clear here

ms.conduct says:

October 30th, 2008 at 7:52 pm

Ah okay, wasn’t sure when it was originally. Thought it was in Feb sometime.

G* really? Picture is TERRIBLE on CI. :(

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 7:52 pm

Green*, You Bastaaaard!

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 7:52 pm

oh you’re cute, G*

ms.conduct says:

October 30th, 2008 at 7:52 pm

Or are you at the game? :\

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 7:52 pm

He’s at the game…

ms.conduct says:

October 30th, 2008 at 7:53 pm

Ah. Well then. :P :P :P

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 7:58 pm

gawd…Dumb and Dumber are so…dumb…

michael up North says:

October 30th, 2008 at 7:58 pm

did anyone notice the absence of Gaborik imagery in the wild anthem video? He’s gone!

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 7:58 pm

I’ve watched the Montreal feed for a few games and i don’t speak a lick of french but it is very entertaining.

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:00 pm

Poobah can’t afford to take penalties in the offensive zone.

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:01 pm

Thats bs!

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:01 pm

credit where it’s due: Terhaar juts made a non-homer statement.

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:02 pm

Yeah, but I’m not sure he was right.

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:03 pm

big save there by Hards…he was five feet out of the crease.

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:13 pm

w.o.w.

gotta convert here boys

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:13 pm

Anyone else lose the blog for the last ten minutes?

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:13 pm

You said it NiNY.

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:15 pm

WOW, another one!

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:15 pm

Carbo’s going to go nuts

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:17 pm

NOTE TO STRIB TECH TEAM:

Fix this thing. Crapping out DURING games is just not cool.

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:18 pm

This inability to score on the pp is not good.

Bandgeek says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:19 pm

WTF!

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:19 pm

huge series of kills for the Habs there.

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:22 pm

Hards seems to heave himself up from the butterfly…I’m sure it’s fine, but it just looks like a very in-efficient move.

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:23 pm

Tanguay was an very good off season acquisition.

ms.conduct says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:23 pm

Nice move up the ice by Shep there…

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:23 pm

we miss the net too damn often from the point.

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:24 pm

yeah, Rogue: did they say he already has six goals?

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:24 pm

THAT was a dumb penalty to take.

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:24 pm

Gotta score this time!

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:25 pm

Yeah, he’s been a solid player on my fantasy team. Those were his 10th and 11th points tonight.

sunshine says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:27 pm

What is wrong with our PP?

sunshine says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:28 pm

Its seems such lazy play on PP.

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:29 pm

I can’t believe this parade to the box. Its about the least violent string of penalties ever.

sunshine says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:30 pm

Is there no urgency to their game? Are we not down a goal?

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:30 pm

funny thing is: if they score on this one, they’ll have huge mo and their failures will be forgotten.

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:30 pm

Its about the least violent string of penalties ever.

+1

great observation

sunshine says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:31 pm

What happened to Mojzis? I missed the first period.

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:31 pm

…”their failures will be forgotten.”

Immediately!

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:32 pm

brutal…give credit to the Habs PK too

sunshine says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:32 pm

Look at the Canadiens PKers, they don’t even need to move because the Wild aren’t moving at all.

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:32 pm

I’m glad to hear the booing, frankly.

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:33 pm

That’s gotta be very frustrating.

sunshine says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:33 pm

NiNY: Is it great PKers or bad PPers?

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:34 pm

Yeah, the crowd needs to hold the Wild accountable.

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:34 pm

both. The Habs were very strong on the points in the earlier PKs, and then the Wild sort of stopped pressing over the last couple so the Habs were a bit more passive.

ms.conduct says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:34 pm

How much did they pay for PMB? Boy, he didn’t bother me last season but he’s really bugging me now. Just SHOOOT!

MicMac says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:34 pm

Butch needs to shoot some time.

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:35 pm

about $4.25M per, ms.c.

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:36 pm

habs should now have momentum to start the third…Wild “skill” players should be tired from all the (fruitless) PP work.

Bad news for Wild fans.

ms.conduct says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:38 pm

I think there’s something about power plays on sort of lame penalty calls that keeps the puck out. Like the hockey gods are saying, “Nah. Lame call by the ref. You’re not getting jack out of this.”

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:39 pm

interesting theory, ms.c.

Who is the God, and what needs to be sacrificed to appease her?

pleasesayskoula
pleasesayskoula
pleasesayskoula
pleasesayskoula
pleasesayskoula

Bandgeek says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:39 pm

WTF? Just… gerrrrr.. argghhhh….. puck… grrrrrrrr…. poop

sunshine says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:40 pm

You can’t just blame PMB. If you don’t have a good shot maybe just shoot it and it might go off someone.

Like I said, none of the guys were moving around. They all stood still, which allowed the Habs PK to stand still and wait for the Wild pass it around. No sense of urgency.

GreenStar says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:41 pm

if i had a dime for each time the dude behind me yelled shoot, id be able to fly yall in for the rest of the season. the first fifty time made your point.

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:42 pm

hmm…maybe the Accidental Beer Spill over your shoulder and into his lap, G*?

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:43 pm

anyone else think the Pens’ fan dork in the CI commercial looks like Joey Pants’ brother?

GreenStar says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:44 pm

one more thing about the pp. the boys had to be sucking serious wind. we started playing gillies and shep on pp

ms.conduct says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:45 pm

Oh, I hate the “SHOOOT!”ers. Though frankly, I’ve yelled it at Butchy twice tonight. But I’m only irritating the hubby and the dog. Oh, I yelled it a couple of times at him last night, too. Glad I wasn’t sitting with WATX after all. Might have gotten smacked. ;)

ms.conduct says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:46 pm

Need to put Cal in on the PP. :)

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:47 pm

need to put Tuire on the PP!

Bandgeek says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:48 pm

I usually only yell shoot once, and it’s usually prefaced and followed by several expletives.

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:49 pm

first penalty of the 3rd HAS to go against the Wild.

GreenStar says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:49 pm

NiNY tell me one of your many sisters hijacked your handle when you called me cute

Wallshot says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:49 pm

Is it purple tie day in the press box, or what?

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:50 pm

G* sorry, no. That was sarcasm. Did you try the Accidental Beer Spill over your shoulder and into SHOOT guy’s lap??

MicMac says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:51 pm

Ties are to promote the Hockey fights Cancer merchandise I think.

ms.conduct says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:51 pm

Um, Cash dudden live here.

sunshine says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:52 pm

I hate the SHOOTers but dang, after so many PPs, I had to yell it a couple of times.

And I hate the CI commercial. I want to throw something at my TV everytime its on.

Yeah, I have a little anger problem now.

ms.conduct says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:52 pm

LOL Did y’all see Burns come sliding down the bench? Jesus, if he could bottle that energy…

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:52 pm

Hockey fights cancer ties.

Bandgeek says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:53 pm

I’m hungry.

MNWildFan13 says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:53 pm

That was pretty cool seeing Burns do that. He’s like a big kid out there.

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:53 pm

HA…yeah, that was awesome, ms.c. He just comes across like one of those happy go lucky people that just stoked to be alive.

sunshine says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:54 pm

I like the ties. That’s the only think I liked in the 2nd period.

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:54 pm

Carbo’s going to see orange flashes in his nightmares tonight.

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:55 pm

There it was NiNY

ms.conduct says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:55 pm

Well, you weren’t wrong for long.

4 on 4… haven’t had much of that. We’ll see what they do with a little more ice.

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:56 pm

second non-homer comment from Terhaar.

sunshine says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:56 pm

Koivu knew we wouldn’t be able to score so he had to get a penalty. Maybe 4-on-4 will be better for us.

Kevin in PA says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:56 pm

Geezus. Are these penalties all legit? (At work, just looking at box scores.)

ms.conduct says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:56 pm

AUGH! Man, what a chance.

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:56 pm

Belanger!!! Crap.

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:57 pm

actually, most of them are, KiPA…it’s been a breathtaking parade to the box.

sunshine says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:58 pm

Also breathtaking the scoring opportunities lost.

Bandgeek says:

October 30th, 2008 at 8:58 pm

** insert sounds of whimpering**

ms.conduct says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:00 pm

Okay, I really just need a ClutterCam when he’s on the ice. Makes me crazy in this SD picture that he’s often just outside of the frame.

Speak of the devil…

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:00 pm

Clutterbuck and Hamrlik, what a combination of names!

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:00 pm

clutter is just a tank

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:00 pm

ha, no doubt, Rogue!

Bandgeek says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:01 pm

hehe… Clutterbuck…. haha…. Hammerlick…. two of the coolest names in hockey.

sunshine says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:01 pm

Geez, MAB — why can’t you keep any pucks in?!

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:01 pm

Bela’s spoilin’ for some action now. A little extra mustard on that pass across the ice.

ms.conduct says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:02 pm

I think they almost turned into Clammerbucklick for a second there.

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:03 pm

LOL Ms C.

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:04 pm

someone tell Al Tinklinberg his Mondale impression is DEAD ON.

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:04 pm

That replay of the Hammercluck collision reminded me of a couple of Big Horn Sheep that hit each other and then sort of look stunned after ward for a moment.

sunshine says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:05 pm

NiNY:

That’s what my brother and I were just saying yesterday.

ms.conduct says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:05 pm

OMG that kid with the ice cream cone could be Boogie’s kid… looked just like a mini-Boogs.

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:05 pm

lol…I really thought it was Walt the first time I saw the ad.

Bandgeek says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:07 pm

OMG! They are making you guys watch MN political ads? I would think you guys not in state could avoid that.

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:08 pm

okay Mikko, time to assert your will over big bro in your own house. Do a Kirby for us here.

sunshine says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:09 pm

Its not like NY isn’t bombarded with ads. They probably see more ads than we do with more House members.

ms.conduct says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:09 pm

I haven’t seen any. I think DTV is putting programming ads in their place. Which is why I’ve seen ads for Friday Night Lights, Journey to the Center of the Earth and some boxing match about 3,492 times tonight.

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:09 pm

T/F this game means more to the Wild than it does to Montreal?

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:10 pm

band: the CI feed generally picks up the whole broadcast. Sometimes they block some of the ads (those games make me crazy). My wife knows the whole Menard’s theme song - and she’s never been in one of their stores.

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:10 pm

Same with me Mc.C

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:11 pm

okay, the CI feed, ex-DTV, apparently. :P

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:11 pm

Burns and Schulz were just the lead skaters on a rush. Weird.

Bandgeek says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:12 pm

Good MsC, I would hate to subject anyone to the craptastic amount of political ads we’ve had lately.

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:12 pm

PP again. Oh hum…

ms.conduct says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:12 pm

Lawd have mercy. Let’s do sumpin on this PP, boys.

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:13 pm

LOL…how fast do you think Carbo will get to the room after this game? I’m thinking it will take him about 1.6 seconds.

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:13 pm

Koivu! Crap.

sunshine says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:14 pm

Someone go to the frickin net or at least screen the goalie

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:15 pm

hair on the back of the neck, ms.c?

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:15 pm

Boy, Bela has some speed when he wants to. I don’t remember that from last year.

Great save by Hards.

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:16 pm

I thought charging was a foul in basketball.

ms.conduct says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:16 pm

Cripes.

Who’s the good looking ref? He needs to get demoted to the A…

TheFastOne says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:17 pm

so much for having a decent power play…good god guys score a damn goal.

need to work the puck down low, the shots from the point dont work if you can’t hit the damn net!

ms.conduct says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:17 pm

Yeah, Nick, for sure. And those splits. My groin broke just looking at that!

Ben says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:17 pm

Burns and Bergeron both at the point doesn’t work. They need Bouchard at the point with one of those two to keep the passing going…

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:17 pm

well, now I know Billy McCreary isn’t working the game…

Wallshot says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:18 pm

Pretty gong-show officiating tonight.

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:18 pm

Mittens and Mikko have that hockey telepathy thing going on.

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:19 pm

Koivu had quite the chance.

ms.conduct says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:19 pm

Funny watching Ma and Pa Koivu’s reactions.

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:20 pm

not to mention the three young ladies in front of them…

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:21 pm

if Bruno’s with shep and Clutter, who’s with Mittens and Mikko?

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:21 pm

if Bruno’s with shep and Clutter, who’s with Mittens and Mikko?

sunshine says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:21 pm

Does it even matter at this point when none of them seem to have any chemistry?

Fight! Fight! (I mean, what the hell, right?)

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:23 pm

Koivu wants to fight.

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:24 pm

both Mikko and Saku are going to be getting a talking-to from mom after that little display…

sunshine says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:24 pm

Did Greenlay just say that the Wild outplayed the Habs?

I thought we were outplayed.

ms.conduct says:

Mikko strikes me as a guy who is about to come out of his skin, he’s so fired up.

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:24 pm

how great is Mrs. Koivu?!

MNWildFan13 says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:24 pm

Mikko put Skoula’s helmet on during the stoppage.

sunshine says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:25 pm

Fired up but a little late.

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:26 pm

Tough game. The guys put on good pressure at the end but I think were too patient on the pp. The aggression at the end was about 30 minutes late.

Nick in New York says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:26 pm

that was pretty unsatisfying.

Bandgeek says:

Mikko’s Mom rocks!

Well…… mother smurfer. I’m out, gotta be at the ptj early the next 2 days. My last 2 days as a flunky before the temporary promotion kicks in.

puddle of wet says:

Do!!!

Wallshot says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:29 pm

Nice game out of Price.

I am afraid that this is the real Wild we should expect to see all season once again - just. can’t. score.

Hopefully not.

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:30 pm

We really need a second scoring line, but the story tonight was no pressure on the pp.

sunshine says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:30 pm

Its great that they are brothers but we lost a game that we had all the opportunities to win.

That’s the sad.

sunshine says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:32 pm

How about getting one scoring line? I don’t think we have had that consistently in the last two games.

sunshine says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:33 pm

We only have one forward who is playing and its Koivu. Where are the other 11 fowards?

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:34 pm

Point taken sunshine, but I need to see a longer drought to give up on Koivu-Mitts-Bruno.

sunshine says:

October 30th, 2008 at 9:39 pm

Earlier, I asked that the Habs played as bad as they did against us in Montreal. It came true but I forgot to ask us to pay as well as we did in Montreal.

GreenStar says:

October 30th, 2008 at 10:20 pm

G* sorry, no. That was sarcasm

I figured as much.

funny game hockey is. I thought we played better tonight than monday but won monday and lost tonight.

If it weren’t for the powerplay troubles, I do think the wild outplayed the habs.

good match. wish we played those boys more than once.

GreenStar says:

October 30th, 2008 at 10:22 pm

I wouldn’t say there is only one forward playing.

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 10:24 pm

I agree G*

sunshine says:

October 30th, 2008 at 10:26 pm

I admit I missed the first period so maybe that’s where they played better in?

RogueGopher says:

October 30th, 2008 at 10:30 pm

Actually, they did play very well in the 1st period. They had energy and made some great passes. It wasn’t until the second period goal by mon and the ensuing parade to the box that they lost rhythm.

Wild Road Tripper says:

October 30th, 2008 at 10:44 pm

This game was in some ways worse than last night’s fiasco in Dallas, primarily due to the lack of success (0-for-10) on the power play and the lack of overall effort in the latter half of the contest. The Wild didn’t want to win very bad tonight, and the Habs knew it. Carey Price took care of the rest.

This does not bode well going on an 8-day, 4-game road trip out West.

Ugh.

Wild09 says:

October 30th, 2008 at 10:47 pm

Back to back loses to two quality teams. I am afraid this is going to be along year. If Koivu and Burns could skate every shift we would be set.Only time will tell but this test we failed. Zidlicky and Bergeron PP specialists ?

ms.conduct says:

Whaddaya say is the best game right now? Wings/Sharks?
