A couple things here. First, blogger Scott disagrees with Michael and says players "can't lose money in real dollars, only potential dollars". I couldn't disagree more. While I hate to agree with the 'Don', after all, I am his Evil Twin, I have to back him up 100% on this one. Players have to put money from each check into an escrow account all season. When the season is over, and the NHL figures out how much money they actually took in, they compare that with what they projected they would take in. If the projected amount was right, the players get back all the money they put into their account. If the NHL took in less, then the players get less back from the escrow account. This seems like 'real' money to me. Secondly, I heard a rumor a long time ago that the Wild were trying to switch AHL teams with Dallas (Stars get Houston, we get Des Moines) but it never materialized. Anyone else hear about that? That would have made sense for both clubs. But since Austin is building a new arena, Dallas can't pass that up. I don't know alot about this, but I have read on one site that 'the Iowa Stars termintated their affiliation with Dallas', while another site claimed 'Dallas ended their affiliation with Iowa'. Anyone know which side say "see ya"! The players from Dallas who do not make the NHL club...Mark Parrish included...will be sent to one of five AHL clubs ( I know Manitoba, Grand Rapids, and Peoria are three of them). One last thing; Gaby hurt himself playing hackey sack? While I can't be certain, since it was a road game, I have to guess it was with a soccer ball and not a hackey sack (not that it makes any difference). Being around NHL players for nearly a decade, I have seen hackey sack played once. Maybe twice. I have seen countless versions of different games played with a soccer ball by nearly every team hundreds of times. I think it was a soccer ball. That's all. I hope that wasn't too boring. Let me know. Sometimes I just like to hear myself type.

/rant on

Jeez, what is it with you ppl and your blackberries? Does no one realize you can email off of just about ANY phone with a $20 data package?

It's 2008 folks, come into the light!

/rant off

Now that that's settled, I'm wondering why recall a center when you're short on wingers? No matter, team better bring their A game tonight, or they're gonna look ridiculous.
