Saddest blog post yet, but…

Many of you have asked to me to keep you updated.
I’m sorry to report to you that I’ve been informed Lori Luoma, a passionate Wild fan, passed away earlier this evening. She went peacefully with family. She was 38.
Her favorite player was Josh Harding, her friend Audrey tells me.
Just a bad night all around.
Two hours ago, I received word from England my friend, Jason Boas, succumbed to his long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was my age — 34 — and those of us who attended Camp Coleman with Jason were lucky to know him.
Jason was a true inspiration. He was diagnosed last October, and found, as he wrote in an April article, “It is a lonely place having cancer at 33.”
So Jason founded “No Surrender” (no-surrender.org) in the U.K., which as he wrote, “aims to bring support to young adults, and give them an arena to discuss their hopes and fears with one another. I believe beating cancer you need a positive approach, and having a community on the internet, where we can all talk at any time would provide such an approach.”
Jason, by the way, was such a better blogger than me. His videoblog, the Boas Blog on YouTube, was seen my thousands. It kept his friends and family updated on his treatment, served as inspiration to so many with cancer and was down right entertaining.
It just blows me away there won’t be another blog. Blows me away I’ll never hear Boas chanting “Russssssssooooooo!!!” again.
Two people gone so young. Keep Lori and Jason in your thoughts and prayers.
Good night and talk to you after Wednesday’s practice.
