Wild lineup tonight at Columbus
Posted on September 21st, 2009 – 11:04 AMBy Michael Russo
I thought this updated awhile ago and now I see it didn’t. Columbus Dispatch’s Aaron Portzline contacted me an hour ago with a series of quotes from Jason Chimera, who lit into Eric Belanger. Aaron’s colleague, Tom Reed (not that Tom Reid), published this blog on Dispatch site.
Not so coincidentally, I was planning a Belanger story for tomorrow’s paper anyway.

Just got to hotel, and I figured I’d jump on to clean up the font. Sent the lineup from my Blackberry.
Just an fyi first, all six players placed on waivers Saturday have cleared and are officially now reassigned to Houston.
Also, Mikko Koivu, Andrew Brunette, Craig Weller and Shane Hnidy continue to be banged up. Coupled with the fact coach Todd Richards really doesn’t want his “veteran” players traveling right now so they remain fresh with such a huge travel schedule in October, this is the lineup for tonight. I’ll check in to see if any of the injured guys practiced today. I did run into Koivu last night in the press box and he assured me it’s nothing serious. If this wasn’t preseason, … in other words.
No need to rush the injured guys right now.
KOIVU DID PRACTICE TODAY (UPDATE)
Marek Zidlicky, Greg Zanon, Brent Burns, Duncan Milroy, Petr Sykora, Colton Gillies, Andy Hilbert, Antti Miettinen, Kyle Brodziak, Petr Kalus, Nathan Smith, Matt Kassian, Jon DiSalvatore, Wade Dubielewicz, Josh Harding, John Scott, Danny Irmen, Marco Scandella, Benoit Pouliot, Tyler Cuma, Justin Falk.
More tonight.
