Third period:

Oh they’re still playing. I’m writing. David Perron and John Scott has been feuding all period, which has been somewhat comical.

– Perron going to the box for his 10th slash this period on Scott.

4-1 with 2:45 left. Eric Belanger shot for PPG deflects off St. Louis defender.

Second period:

Burns in the box for holding Perron. They don’t like each other tonight. Good story in today’s Dispatch by The Jeremy Rutherford today on Perron, by the way. Like T.J. Oshie and Martin Havlat, Perron is a tweeter now.

Penalty is killed.

Danny Irmen denied from the doorstep by fantasy football star Chris Mason. Came after Jay McClement coughed it up to Marty Havlat. Still 3-0 Blues with 13:59 left in the period.

Amazing. This late in camp, Wild comes out of TV timeout with Sifers-Scott and Irmen-Kassian-Smith. Even though all the injuries are minor — minus Boogaard – these injuries are really putting a wrench into Todd Richards’ first training camp.

Ty Conklin now in goal for St. Louee with 9:59 left.

4-0 Blues with 7:40 left. Ref Dean Morton initially waved off, but Andy McDonald’s attempted pass to Keith Tkachuk in the crease looked like it deflected in off defenseman Jaime Sifers. Power-play goal after a weak hooking penalty on Nick Schultz.

They’re calling it a sellout. The many no-show’s must have known the outcome beforehand.

End of 2, 4-zip Blues.

First period:

Gillies-Sheppard-Nolan;           Johnsson-Schultz

Miettinen-Belanger-Havlat;  Zanon-Burns

Earl-Hilbert-Clutterbuck;     Scott-Sifers

Kassian-Smith-Irmen

David Backes going off for tripping Colton Gillies. Earlier, Brent Burns got away with a trip on David Perron, and Backes and Perron had words with Burns. Burns and Perron then came together twice for some physical stuff later in the shift. Wild on PP.

Tons and tons of empty seats here tonight, especially the end zone behind Niklas Backstrom. Is this the night?

1-0 Blues: On a power play with Martin Havlat in box for hooking, Patrik Berglund’s point shot get through David Backes’ screen and by Niklas Backstrom at 8:15. First goal given up by Backstrom this preseason.

2-0 Blues at 11:41. Great goal. Jay McClement coming out of the corner feeds Alex Steen in the slot. Steen whips a perfect shot, but only because it looked like Backstrom couldn’t get over due to interference.

Owen Nolan, taking exception to David Backes’ hard check on James Sheppard, goes after Backes. Nolan’s off for unsportsmanlike conduct. Blues power play coming up.

3-0 Blues. Andy McDonald one-timer after Andy Hilbert turns the puck over on what should have been an easy PK clear. Hilbert works hard, but his tryout should be coming to an end soon. Why sign a guy for 500K when you can just put Danny Irmen on the team if you need to? Of course, Irmen’s contract is a little more than 200 higher due to pre-lockout contract and mandatory qualifying offer raises.

Puck drop in 15 mins. Lineups mentioned this morning, and yes, Kyle Brodziak is the guy skating this morning who gets a night off. Just told Marian Gaborik scored his first tonight for the Blueshirts.

More to come.
