Big trade?

Wolves coach Randy Wittman euphemistically referred to the key players in Wednesday’s 2-for-3 trade with Miami as “strong personalities.” Never mind Ricky Davis, Mark Blount and Antoine Walker, the main names exchanged in a deal in which both the Wolves and Miami were motivated by addition through subtraction. The important factors here: A conditional No. 1 draft pick — the Wolves will receive Miami’s pick in 2008 if the Heat make this season’s playoffs, conditionally protected in years thereafter if the Heat doesn’t — and enough time for such youngsters as Rashad McCants, Corey Brewer, Gerald Green, Ryan Gomes and Chris Richard to play and for Wittman and Wolves VP Kevin McHale to evaluate their new youth movement. What do you think? Are they committed, or should they be?
