The winds of change

The Timberwolves new marketing campaign attempts to solve a tough sell with these five words: See What They Can Do.
Come See Who We Are Today might be more like it.
On Thursday, that did not include new Wolves Antoine Walker and Michael Doleac, who weren’t due in the Twin Cities until late tonight (Walker) or tomorrow (Doleac). Given the Wolves’ recent history, a trade barrage that started with shipping Mike James to Houston for Juwan Howard in June, either one of those players and certainly former Miami teammate Wayne Simien might not be around by the time the Wolves finalize their regular-season roster on Monday.
Wolves VP Kevin McHale on Thursday hinted at more change, saying there’s already enough dust in the air from a series of moves that includes July’s Kevin Garnett trade and a little more dust swirling won’t bother anybody. Gone in mere months are James, KG, Troy Hudson, Trenton Hassell and now Ricky Davis and Mark Blount. Howard, who respectfully has asked to be traded, could be next. So could Walker or Marko Jaric, if the Wolves can find anyone willing to take on their contracts.
You play GM. Who’s next?
