The Wolves have just taken to the floor for their first practice in Las Vegas for summer-league games they begin on Monday.
Kevin Love has signed his rookie contract, which guarantees him $6.5 million for his first two seasons and breaks down like this: $3.16 million this season, $3.4 million next season, team options for $3.6 milliion in 2010-2011 and $4.6 million in 2011-2012.
Also, Marquette forward Dan Fitzgerald, who’s from St. Paul and played high-school ball at St. Thomas Academy, has been added to the team and participated in today’s opening practice.
I’ll be there starting tomorrow for four days and will post regular reports here. The team, which includes Love, Corey Brewer and Chris Richard, will practice twice a day today, Saturday and Sunday before opening play Monday. Randy Foye will practice today and tomorrow, but won’t play in games.
