Phoenix has saved old Shaquille O’Neal’s legs for tonight’s game at Target Center, resting him for half of back-to-back games as they’ve done this season by not playing him in Tuesday’s 99-98 victory at Oklahoma City.

Will he be fresh or rusty?

“Let’s hope the latter,” Wolves coach Randy Wittman said.

Both Rashad McCants (back) and Kevin Ollie (calf) are game-time decisions depending on how they feel after working out at this morning’s shootaround.

UPDATE AT 6:40 P.M.: McCants will try to play some tonight, Ollie will not. The question is, will the Wolves be better or worse with McCants out there?

Just put Mad Dog on Shaq. He knows all of his moves from their days together in LA. Mad Dog can shut him down. ;)

I heard they are also considering only playing 3 players at a time. This will make it more entertaining for the 47 fans in attendance.

I just hope that Randy Wittman resigns today! That would be the greatest Birthday Present anyone could ever give me!

Jerry, have you heard any rumors regarding Mike Miller being traded? Bill Simmons wrote in his article today, on espn.com, that Miller might be available and would be a good pickup for Cleveland’s run to the finals. Let’s hope McHale isn’t going to trade any of the bright pieces of this Twolves squad.

That would really surprise me. What worthwhile pieces does Cleveland have that approaches Miller’s $9 million salary?

If Mike goes to the Cavaliers, it’d probably mean Wally is coming back. That’d be horrible. Mike is better than Wally at literally everything. I have no idea why anyone would think Miller is on the trading block or why we’d even want him gone in the first place. He’s a great shooter, a great playmaker, a great teammate. And if anything, trading Miller would be McHale admitting abject failure, since Mike is what sold him on trading away Mayo. And if there’s anything we’ve learned over these past 13 years, it’s that McHale will never admit failure.

I’d be open to trading Miller. I prefer a Telfair-Foye backcourt, and I’d like us to turn Miller and another piece into Gerald Wallace, or, if the Bobcats would not do that deal, then try to get a first round pick for him. Miller is 28 and likely will not be around for any playoff run that we might make 3-5 years from now.
