O.J. and K-Love, Part I

Memphis is in town tonight for the first game since the Grizzlies and the Wolves swung that midnight deal on draft night last summer. O.J. Mayo enters with a 20.1 ppg scoring average and the early clubhouse lead for Rookie of the Year. Kevin Love enters just thankful his name doesn’t rhyme with Mayo.

With 10 minutes left in the second half, Mayo has scored four points on 2-for-2 shooting. How many do you bet he ends up with?

Jim Peterson is a fool. All night long so far he is hammering Mayo, saying he is small, not impressed with him. Can you tell Peterson is an employee of the Wolves. I had to turn off the game to stop listening to Peterson babble. Good thing he is moving on to help coach the Lynx. As a broadcaster, I am not impressed with Peterson.

Mayo is the best all around player on the court tonight. He has held sg’s to 4-14 shooting. Jefferson is great, Love is ok, but neither of those guys play any defense.

That shows they think Mayo is already their go to guy, Love will never be that.

Jefferson is scoring at will now against a small lineup, he should also be dominating the paint on defense.

Warrick just jumped over Love twice with out going over his back and Love didn’t jump for a rebound. The wolves are lucky they stopped going to Mayo on the clear out and that Gasol fouled out with Darko injured.
