Games left, that is.
It’ll be a blessing when this is over.
This time last year, the Wolves were making that late push to 22 victories.
This time, they’re playing for the lottery odds like Memphis and the Knicks were a year ago.
Looks like, though, that their 10-4 January will keep them with just the fifth most chances to land the No. 1 pick for the first time in their history.
They’ve got 20 victories and Sacramento (15 victories), Washington (16) and Memphis and the Clippers (17 each) all look like they have no intention of catchinig up with the Wolves, who still must play at Philadelphia and Cleveland on this road trip and then play New Jersey, Dallas, Denver and Utah in their next four after that.
Look down the schedule: Back-to-back games at the Clips and Golden State and a finale at home against Sacramento…how many victories do you predict the Wolves will finish with?
I’ll say 22, same as last year.
