Kevin McHale said he hasn’t made up his mind, but expect him to go with a mix-and-match starting lineup that includes some of the subs that started Wednesday’s game at Philadelphia and some of his regular starters. You can bet Rodney Carney will be out there first against a Cleveland team that has won a franchise record 58 games and is aiming to match the franchise record, reached once already this season, for consecutive victories with 11.
The Wolves worked out on the Cavs’ practice court in the Q this afternoon for about an hour.
On another topic, did you see USA Today’s list today of the most hated college basketball players of all time (it actually was the most hated since about 1992 because nobody on the list predates that)?
The Wolves’ very own Mark Madsen is on it, along with Christian Laettner, J.J. Redick, Joakim Noah, Adam Morrison and Michigan’s entire Fab Five.
Madsen couldn’t figure out how he made the list. He said he got one technical when was in college and that was for hanging on the rim.
I told him maybe people still held that goofy celebratory dance against him, even if it came during his professional playing days.
“I thought we all had forgot about that dance a long time ago,” he said.
