No DeRozan

USC guard DeMar DeRozan’s solo workout scheduled this morning for Target Center was called off after DeRozan because he was ill, so he flew directly from Memphis back home to L.A. without stopping for a look-see in our fair city.

Might be legit. Also might be his agent pulling him out because he either thinks there’s no chance the Wolves will take his client or because he’s trying to discourage the Wolves from selecting DeRozan.

I’d guess the latter option because of how on again-off again his workout scheduled for here has been.

The team says it’ll try to reschedule the workout, but timing’s getting short with the draft now just three days away.
There’s one more workout scheduled, but it sounds like the headliner of that group is North Carolina’s Wayne Ellington, who mostly likely is a candidate for that 28th overall pick.

Not sure yet if the Wolves brass will be traveling out this week to have visits either with Thabeet or Rubio. If they get a chance to visit or see them workout (a workout probably isn’t likely), they’ll almost certainly have to go see those guys.
