[...] Jerry Zgoda, Minneapolis Star Tribune: "To address the little birdie and Charley Walters’ ‘report’ that Ricky Rubio was in town — or due in town — yesterday to meet with David Kahn … Honestly, I don’t know. I’ve worked to confirm it, which unfortunately as a beat writer is a necessity, but haven’t been able to. David Kahn promised ‘transparency’ when he took the job but eventually said ‘Sorry, we have no comment’ when I texted him numerous times to ask if has, or will soon meet, with Rubio and his father. That he says no comment rather than deny it leads me to believe there’s something there, which isn’t surprising that the two sides would begin some kind of conversation face to face soon." [...]

Bryan,

I am not sure what your point is about the money. Taylor is losing money and yes other team do to, but that doesn't mean that they accept it. Taylor is a man that is used to making money and he doesn't want to lose as much money as possible. He wants fans in the seats as he begged on that one commercial. The less fans in the seats the more money he loses. He needs to put a good or competitive product on the floor.

The one exception is that he is to nice to ax the Lynx.

If your talking about Craig Smith at the 3, I think we should be talking about something else.

Maybe trade Smith for a young(1-3 years experience) SG with a short contract

Facial- sorry I didn't respond earlier, World Language was a 2 semester class I had in High School that covered 4 or 5 different languages(German, Spanish, French, Arabic...) Then I liked Spanish the most so took 2 years of that and Rubio's supposed facebook had spanish on it that I used in my first year and he has spoken spanish his whole life, so someone probably knows a little spanish and made a facebook page

fiveanddime - offensively, slashing has always been Brewer's offensive game. It certainly hasn't been deep shooting or tossing alley-oops or something, right?

What's your evidence that he CAN'T slash/score in transition? That was his game in Gainesville. As for his time in The NBA, he was learning the ropes as a rookie (and making progress, BTW) and then got injured almost immediately as a second-year player.

I think next year will be very important for him to show us what he can (or can't) do. I personally don't think it's possible to conclusively state what he can do either way:

1. As I've already admitted (at 2:01 p.m.), hasn't proven conclusively that he won't be an offensive liability yet... but he does project to have some offensive usefulness.

2. But he also hasn't had enough games played yet for you to conclusively say he can't play at all. Hard to write off a kid after like than 80 games in his career.

For example, the idea of Michael Finely came up. That would cost us Telfair, Smith or a second round pick.

Again, I'm willing to add a swingman, but he has to be a guy who is high talent and will stick with the team long term. It's pointless to give up valuable trade assets and young talent to rent a worn down veteran for a year.

Bryan, who is the young talent that you think people are trying to get rid of in order to get 2 or 3 wins? As for my suggestion, I'm just talking about actually fielding a full squad first off. Second, if you're going to add someone so that you can actuially put someone on the court for each of the 5 accepted positions in the NBA, get someone young and with potential so that you are not just throwing in a stop gap. You could sign a free agent, but they are likely to be more expensive, and they do not clear space on the roster by moving out one of our new found big 4s who have no future on this team.
