Hello, Mankato

The Wolves arrived in Glen Taylor’s town late this afternoon, held a team meeting earlier this evening and roll the balls out for training camp tomorrow morning at 9:30.
Only Oleksiy Pecherov is not expected to be ready to participate. He broke his wrist while playing for the Ukrainian natioanl team a month and is expected to be cleared for practice as soon as Thursday.
The Wolves held their traditional media day at their Target Center practice facility before they left town.
Al Jefferson showed up 31 pounds lighter than he was last season — down to 262 from 293 — and said he will be spry enough now to run with a team that Kurt Rambis wants to push it. He also proved that hope does spring eternal and praise gushes unfettered with the arrival of every new season when he basically suggested Jonny Flynn could be the next Chris Paul.
Flynn playfully shook his head at that comparison and then reminded that he hasn’t played a game yet.

I’ll be heading to Mankato in the morning for daily coverage until Sunday night’s preseason opener against the Bucks there.
