Kurt Rambis went the veteran way tonight in Milwaukee in his first game without Kevin Love.

He started Brian Cardinal, who didn’t play at all Friday in Chicago, at Love’s power forward spot and kept Damien Wilkins in the lineup next to Al Jefferson, Corey Brewer and Jonny Flynn.

The interesting matchup tonight is Flynn vs. Brandon Jennings, who got his first preseason start.

Just from judging the first two games against the Bucks this season…Jennings is electric, mighty quick and, yes, mighty wild. The Knicks might someday regret not drafting him. The Wolves, for that matter, might, too, someday.

Jennings is 5-for-5 for 11 points with four assists so far (midway through the second quarter).

Flynn is 4 for 6 for 10 points with two assists.

The Wolves tried to get Kevin Love hooked up with their hand specialist today, but that’ll have to wait until Monday before he finds out if he needs surgery to repair that fourth metacarpal bone on his left hand.
