Kevin Love is getting that fractured left hand X-rayed one more time this afternoon. He said he is confident this one will show his broken bone is fully healthy and he’ll be cleared to fully practice starting tomorrow.
If he gets the OK, he said a return Friday at New Orleans is probably asking too much, but mentioned Saturday’s home game against Utah.
Still, that would only give him one full practice — tomorrow — before then.
A return Tuesday at Toronto seems more likely. That would give him two full practices and one or two shootarounds before he makes his season debut.
Love will wear a black glove — padded to protect the back of his hand — in games when he returns. He calls it his Brock Lesnar tap-out glove.
Btw, looks like this will be my last real blog posting on this site. I know I said some time ago that the blog would migrate to a new publishing system — one of the last Star Tribune sports blogs to do so — soon.
Well, looks like that time has come.
I’ll post the pertinent new information as soon the migration is done.
